Description

A free, open-to-all, collective drawing challenge that aims to create a giant tessellated isometric drawing from creatives around the world!

Draw your insight into staying at home during lockdown and join this international collaboration!

The challenge aims to show how we can remain connected in these unprecedented times and that whilst we’re all ‘only a room away’, regardless of the country or distance apart, we are united by creativity.

Inspired by MC Escher’s incredible isometric drawings we want to collectively build HomeTown, a new virtual city. Using the template provided, we want you to get creative and show us something about your experience working from home… or not working from home. We want to see anything from your work set up, your favourite place to relax, what you can see out your window, where you’ve been on your daily exercise, how you’ve kept in touch with people or even where you’re wishing you could go! We will then piece the individual drawings together live on our website to collectively build HomeTown.

How to get involved..

1. Head-over to our website archisource.org and download the free 2D + 3D isometric templates in the HomeTown Starter Pack which includes an array of SketchUp furniture to get you started!

2. Choose your scale and scene, it could be as big as a city, as small as your room or even just your desk…

3. Choose your style, whether it’s your ‘go-to’ favourite or a new style you’ve been wanting to test out, it can be anything from a sketch to a full render

4. Get creative and share your working from home experiences

5. Submit your isometric drawing (no bigger than A4) to [email protected] and tag @Archisource on Instagram and watch your drawing appear live on the HomeTown website!
